Yaileen (Jaii) joined the Virginia Department of Veterans Services in 2023 as the V3 East Military Spouse Resource Coordinator and is the daughter of a retired Navy Lieutenant Commander as well as a proud Veterans Spouse. Jaii brings a deep understanding of the sacrifices military families endure and the intricacies of their unique lifestyle. Fueled by passion, she is dedicated to supporting military spouses and dependents during their transition into civilian life, with a focus on providing resources in employment and education services.

Jaii’s educational journey began in 2016 with a bachelor’s degree in service management from Johnson & Wales University in Rhode Island. Seeking further academic excellence, she earned a master’s degree in business administration and human resource management from the University of New Haven in Connecticut in 2020. With a wealth of diverse experiences, enriched education, and a successful career, Jaii feels a profound sense of duty to give back to the community and is making headway since her recent move to Virginia in early 2023. Her goal is to empower service members and their families, facilitating access to higher education and unlocking their professional potential during their transition to civilian life.

Jaii’s commitment to supporting military spouses and dependents is rooted in her profound understanding of the military community and the unique challenges it brings. In her role at the Department of Veterans Services, she leverages her personal journey and expertise to make a lasting impact on the lives of others, contributing to a brighter and more promising future for service members and their families.
