Thomas Babb is the in his 1st year V3 Central Transition Coordinator, but Thomas is no stranger to providing Veterans with outstanding service. After joining the Army in 1992 and leaving his home in Florida, Thomas served in various Human Resources Roles throughout his twenty-three years of active-duty service, closing his career as the United States Army Ordnance School Senior Human Resources Manager. A few highlights of his military career were being awarded two Bronze Star Medals for his actions in Iraq and Afghanistan, which were two of his five combat deployments serving as a casualty liaison. After retirement Thomas his wife Tanya, and 2 children made the decision to remain in Virginia.
Prior to joining the V3 Team, Thomas spent years serving Veterans as a Disabled Veteran Outreach Program Specialist, where Thomas provided intensive services to Veterans with significant barriers to employment, this included but not limited to job search assistance, resume review, preparation assistance and providing Veteran with resources assisting them in finding suitable employment. Thomas has visited numerous correctional facilities throughout the region teaching incarcerated Veterans proper resume preparation.
Thomas is so excited for this opportunity to share his knowledge with transitioning service members and their families. Thomas has completed numerous courses to include Strategic Human Resources Management (SHRM) Veterans back to work program, Certified Federal Resume Writer (CFRW) and Certified Federal Job Search Trainer (CFJST).
